Allyson Prehn – Central Alberta Photographer
Thank you for stopping by! I am glad that you are taking the time to check out my images and to meet me.
I am a lover of words and images. As far back as I can remember I have been writing – poems, short stories and many attempted novels – and taking pictures.
I got my first camera for my 10th birthday. It was a retro camera that used 110 film. When I was 18 my dad handed down his Konica SLR to me. The camera had initially belonged to my grandpa who had passed it down to my dad. I loved that the camera had history within my family.
I got my first DSLR in 2009. It was love at first click! I have been happily capturing memories and creating art ever since. I would love to spend time with you and help you preserve your here and now.
I am a self-taught natural light photographer. I have taken many in person and online workshops as well to learn my craft. Most of what I have learned has been through trial and error and hour upon hour of time spent with a camera in my hand. I have sat up late into the night reading tutorials online. I have read and reread books. Photography is a journey and every day spent with my camera I learn something new. I hope you allow me to include you in my journey.
I am married to a great guy who fully supports my endeavor to create beauty for others. I am mother to 4 vibrant and amazing children – 3 boys and a girl. I enjoy spending my time reading, watching movies, listening to music, camping in the summer and watching my kids play hockey in the winter. Life is very busy and very loud in our home.
I am located in Forestburg, Alberta and serve Flagstaff County, Camrose County and Stettler County. Email me for more information. firstname.lastname@example.orgGoogle+
