I am going to apologize now for the amount of images I am about to share! This couple was so much fun to work with and had such a perfect day for their wedding!! I can’t help but want to share every single detail of the day! So, maybe grab a beverage before you settle down to check out this amazing day!
I was so excited for this wedding day. I had not met the bride or groom before they hired me for their August 25 wedding, but when we met at their engagement session earlier in the spring we hit it right off. It was so apparent from the start that these two were meant for each other. They were so easy going and comfortable and even when I made them trudge through 4 feet of snow in my backyard for their engagement session they still smiled. It was COLD that day but they were troopers. I knew then that their wedding day would be amazing! And it truly was!
The dress, the flowers, the colours, the attention to detail made everything just perfect!
Pictures were crashed by a cute elderly couple fishing down at the river. On our way back up to leave we took a quick snapshot with their mode of transportation…this scooter…built for two.
The bride was surrounded by an amazing group of women who kept her calm and made the day so special. They all had such fun personalities and got along so well, not mention they are all just so gorgeous! The dresses were amazing and fit them all perfectly. I’m always a sucker for lace!
The groomsmen were a ton of fun too! You never know what you’re going to walk into when you arrive at the groom’s prep location. These guys were in random stages of getting ready. Some were fully dressed, one was still in the shower. And they did not let a single moment pass without laughing – mostly at each other. The groom is a sports fanatic and each groomsman wore sports themed socks. Totally fitting for the day! I can’t forget to mention the adorable little ring bearers – the bride’s nephews did an amazing job!
The early evening ceremony was bathed in gorgeous light! With a pond & gazebo to the left and a beautiful, rustic red barn to the right, the intimate setting was perfection! There were tears and laughter as in most wedding ceremonies, but there was also a little bird visitor. I don’t know if there really is meaning behind it, but the fact that the bird stayed for the entire ceremony and wandered around the bride, groom & bridal party must mean something good! (If you know can you let me know! I’m super curious about it!)
The reception was held at the Community Hall in Forestburg (the same place my wedding reception was held!) and the hall was decorated beautifully. So much attention to detail!
So many amazing people contributed to the success of this gorgeous day.
